PCs may have made some things simpler, but they have also reorganized a lot of things. You may observe your employees. It may look like a very busy room. And at the same time they might be simply writing their blog or reading news. Should you try to spying on them? Or possibly there may be more options around that deal with computer monitoring?

Sure, a couple of years ago there was little bosses could do. They had to install spyware. Spyware is the name for computer programs that make screenshots, copy text entered from the keyboard, watch over traffic. With spyware you have more control than you would want. What happens is that workers begin having bad thoughts about you. Spying in general is a very bad and dangerous business.

There's good news as well. We have developed a special program that effectively resolves the issue. It is a system of employee monitoring called Work Examiner. It allows for transparent system of monitoring and self monitoring that does not violate privacy, because it monitors the time spent online rather than traffic (unlike various proxies). The flexible reporting system produces a lot of very useful information that you would surely prefer to random print screens done while doing internet monitoring.

Currently we are offering Work Examinor for employee monitoring in two different packages. Both versions supervise application jobs, websites viewed, how much time they spend doing what jobs. Both versions allow access restrictions to selected websites or applications. The Professional version allows for different access rights to employee statistic so that everybody has only the access to the data the have the right to see.

Recalling the problem we started with, i.e. spying, you may see that using our software application you do not get screen shots or some sensitive data you do not need. Instead you receive cleverly crafted employee monitoring reports regarding the time and application use. More importantly, this system encourages self control and more effective time use by your underlingsencourages your workers to use work time more efficiently and self-monitor their own computer use.
